Community has been on the mind a lot as of late. What does is mean to help? What does it mean to support? How can we be better as a community for one another in this time? Who’s going through this alone physically? Who’s going through this alone mentally? Who from our people are on the front lines daily and how can we let them know we are behind them? How can we be there for the community?
Questions need answers. Answers aren’t always clear but we have to start somewhere. And conversations count for something. So last evening we tried out a speakeasy cocktail hour and this morning we had coffee together… just trying with starting the conversations. We hope it helps. We hope it supports. We’ll keep trying.
The coffee & classy catch up this morning reminded me how many people in our community are directly on the front lines. To our first responders specifically within our community and everyone that we don’t have a pulse on but a beating heart for that are daily potentially exposing themselves to the virus and still showing up to work: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
