Today marks our 1st full week through the transition.

Some highlights:

  • The gym has never been cleaner ;)

  • We have an average of about 2 dozen plus athletes working out in our online group classes on a daily basis.

  • We have about 50 athletes renting equipment from the gym so a physical piece of us is with you everyday

  • We’ve come together with an online Happy Hour

  • We’ve secretly ran a speakeasy Soulversational cocktail hour

  • We’ve caught up with friends off in Italy, Virginia, and Oceanside along with some morning coffee

  • We’ve ran more mileage on foot than we ever had within a weeks time

  • We’ve seen no positive cases or any symptoms of Covid-19 within our community, so we’re staying safe, staying healthy, staying strong, and staying classy

This week’s news on the virus is that on Wednesday, we saw the nation’s highest death toll come across the media wire. On Thursday, our local government issued that there is an economic stimulus for small businesses, on a first come first serve basis, however we are not sure if we will quality or get chosen for support, but we will apply. As of today, the initial mandate to keep our facility closed through the end of the month is beginning to look like this lockdown will extend into April and possibly/ likely even beyond that.

From the business side, we’re already experiencing and continuing to expect getting punched in the gut with this economic downturn. Right now, we’re still standing, and while we’re aggressively looking at costs to cut, we will continue to do our best to keep the coaches and community together and protected best we can. With the outlook of these circumstances bleeding into April, we are seeking council and fine tuning our solutions to “What happens to my membership if the gym is still closed?” question that some of us are asking. We will present a new membership plan this weekend and just know we are seeking what is most right, fair, and reasonable during these unprecedented times. One thing is for sure, we’ll keep doing our best to earn the value to be a priority in your life, and we’ll need the reciprocal support of the community to weather through this season.

I’ve been enjoying this opportunity to share on a regular basis with our audience. I honestly don’t know who is reading this, but if you are, thank you for your time and attention. I hope these updates and these words provide a window into what an absolute labor of love this dream and this community are to so many of us. May we be strong, evergreen, and classy for the rest of our days.

Dare More Boldly

Always,

LeeJ
