Day 1 of SCCF Online was LITTY!!!

They day started with clouds and raining, at 5am and 6am, Coach Garret took the helm to an audience of none…

We learned quickly that maybe we need to apply, less is more. Less classes might pump up the volume in athletes in the sessions. So we immediately put up a poll and asked the community what are the best times to gather if they were to join an online class. We voted and we created a new class schedule we will implement tomorrow, Friday, Day 2 of the SD quarantine.

Governor Newsom just announced a few hours ago that California is “on lockdown”. The numbers and predictions of the severity of the virus are still alarming. They are saying that 56% of Californians could get the virus, that’s a total of 25.5 million people. Hard to say how strict the measures will be with going out in public, so the stay home, stay healthy, and stay classy message is very genuine.

As the afternoon and evening classes hit, more solid numbers showed up online and the vibes were back in classy form. Tomorrow, we forecast more laughs, sweat, and good times. We’re going to try a new online Happy Hour BYOB at 7pm, I can already guarantee it’ll be better than anything on Netflix.

Here’s the schedule for FRIYAY and if it flows well, we’ll likely keep the format for the following week.

FRIYAY New Online Class Schedule:

8am Stay Classy-fied PowerHour

12noon Stay Classy-fied PowerHour

5pm Stay Classy-fied PowerHour

6pm Stay Classy-fied PowerHour

7pm Happy Hour BYOB to Zoom

Some SCCF news from today:

_.An anonymous member has volunteered to pay for another member that can’t afford/ cancels their membership for financial difficulty. Classy move.

_.If anyone wants to foster a dog, we can refer you to some dogs needing a home temporarily.

_.We’ll be working with Servants Church, a local Barrio Logan church led by Pastor & SCCF Athlete Chris Sandoval on a handful of different initiatives to support his community of families in the neighborhood. Starting with a goods drive of toilet paper, paper towels & paper napkins starting immediately and then an Easter Egg Hunt Home Kits donation for the families here in Logan.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to better serve y’all in the midst of this. We’re thinking of you all and please check back here on a daily basis for what’s good in the SCCF hood.
